These are the easiest things ever! I made a hair clip and a bracelet out of them…
To make this t-shirt I used De Colourant Mist (i got it in Art Van Go, at the Knitting and Stitching show in the RDS in the Autumn. If you are not an Irish person who likes crafts, you will probably have no idea what on earth that is. i looked it up and found a place that sells it for thirteen dollars here: http://www.uniquestitching.com.au/p/1193990/decolourant-mist–a-fabulous-bleaching-agent-without-additional-colour-the-effect-of-the-mist-is-fantastic.html)
i made a stencil out of freezer paper first (it says warpaint, which is the name of my favourite band), and then i just hung it up on a line and went crazy with a spray bottle full of the de colourant. (i had to transfer the liquid to a better spray bottle, as the one it came in let out big drops, which was not really the effect i was looking for.)
Finally! To the “Eat Muffins” part of this blog!
I bought an icing syringe on Thursday and i have been over excited about making these. usually my butter cream icing leaks water after a minute due to the use of margarine instead of butter. but this time it didn’t! i added a drop of blue food colouring that turned the yellow icing green (pretty hard to see in the photo, but it is!), and then added a little too much peppermint essence. last night they tasted great but i don’t know about today, because gluten free muffins usually dry out a lot and get all crumbly. damn my allergy’s!
I was expecting this to fail. but it didn’t! It was really easy, i just cut out heart shapes from some old sheet music, curled the edges around a knitting needle, and glued them to a pipe cleaner! i also added some lavender oil to make it smell nice. i am obsessed with making things out of sheet music. now that i can read it i actually enjoy looking at it!
